Norridgewock lies on the Kennebec River in the southern part of Somerset county. The township is somewhat larger than the standard size, having an area of about 16,000 acres. The name Norridgewock, meaning "smooth water", is said to be derived from a tribe of Indians whom inhabited these lands.

We are the chief town of Somerset county and have the beautiful Kennebec river flowing through. Norridgewock is just 28 miles North of the capital of Maine, Augusta.

Our mission is to promote a positive business enviroment that contributes to the community and economic vitality of the Norridgewock area.
